  1. Lizzy would probably be a romance lit. major or a double major in something else, such as science possibly since she liked to walk alot out in nature.

She would proabably be involved in many extracurricular programs the school has to offer being that she has an outgoing personality.

She was not in a hurry to marry back then, so boys wouldn't be a big problem for her...therefore making Judson a perfect school where she could focus on learning, become independent, and make new friends for awhile.

  2. Elizabeth would most likely be an English or Art major. She would have a career in mind that would allow her to freely express her view on the world. I think she would be very much involved in extracurricular activities, especially things like field hockey and intermural games. I think Lizzy would fit well in our time. She would probably have many different friends. I don’t imagine her to be the type that would always surround herself with the same people.
I agree with Julia Randolph’s post above my own that Judson would have been great for Elizabeth because she was focused on learning new things rather than getting married. I picture her as a great leader on Judson’s campus.

  3. Elizabeth would probably be an English major. Her love for writing letters would fit in perfect here, certainly during war times. She would fit in well, because she is an all around good young women. She would probably be very involved in the dances that are put on and would enjoy them to the best of her ability. I agree with the posts above. She would be forced to learn here and would not be allowed to focus so much on getting married.

  4. I feel like Elizabeth would be an Art major with a combination of minors in English, Journalism, and/or History. I think that her outspoken manner and disregard for social norms would allow her to fit in well with the other Art majors of Judson College. Judson would be great for Elizabeth, because as a college full of women, Judson encourages women to be whatever it is that they want to be and choose whichever career choice that they wish to pursue.

  5. As all the other posts say, Elizabeth would definitely be an English Major, possibly with a minor in music, as she enjoys playing the piano, reading, and writing. She would enjoy the structure of the college, and truly enjoy the feminine pride that is present here. Her outspoken nature would make her known around campus, and she would likely be involved with campus activities and clubs.

  6. I truly believe that she would fit in very well at Judson because we are all strong willed women that can think for ourselves. She would also be able to fit in well because Judson ladies are unique and do not fit in with the social norms of life. For example we have our traditions something a regular four year school does not have. It is my belief that she not only fit in at Judson but she would also love it for the quiet serenity of the school but also filled with the excitement of what may happen next. She would enjoy the freedom to just be herself while getting a christen education.

  7. Elizabeth would fit right in here. A lot of us are whimsical, hopeless romantics. We are not what comes to mind when you think of typical college students. Just the fact that we are and all girls Christian school makes us different from other colleges. Elizabeth being the free spirit that she is would get along just fine.

That is cute, ha...bec. after 25 years, many of us are probably still 'whimsical, hopeless romantics'! ;)

  8. Honestly, I believe she would excel as a Judson girl. Elizabeth has a strong-willed and independent personality. She does not believe in relying on someone else for her success. As Julia stated, she was unconcerned with marriage, so Judson would be a perfect fit for her due to its all-girl status. Elizabeth would be able to focus on her academics and the social events Judson provides.

  9. In accordance to Elizabeth's adoration of writing and language, she would probably be involved in the Scrimshaw, English club, or perhaps a major. Yet, her love of nature, like Ms. Randolph suggested, would probably make her a successful biology, ornithology, and botany student for Dr. Wilson.

  10. Elizabeth would be the type to participate in every activity that Judson has, especially anything dealing with the English department. She would also love it because she would not have to worry about all type of men trying to marry her for her money. Elizabeth might also be the type to have a minor in music.

  11. If Elizabeth were to fall into Judson College today, I feel that she would love it. She could delve into, not only English, but science as well, to learn more about nature. Her lack of concern for marriage means she wouldn’t really mind the lack of guys on campus, in fact, she would probably even appreciate that, allowing her to focus more on learning.

  12. I think Elizabeth would be an English Major if she came to Judson College. She might do something else but I see her as an English major. She would be very involved with other activities on campus and I especially see her playing field hockey on hockey day. She would be very outspoken as she is in the book and her friends would be just as outspoken as she is in the novel. She would fit in quite well here at Judson.

Elizabeth would be an English Major here at Judson College. I personally feel like that Elizabeth do more than just fit it. I think she would become an ambassador of our college and she would be very active in our traditions and play a large role in our sisterhood.
